what. is. happening?

‘OH, HELLO!’ TURNS ONE!

i might be in shock…

This first year has been so many things; exciting, confusing, fun, frustrating, cloudy, happy, eye-opening, and actually better…but hard. I was expecting this first year to be pure chaos, within my home, myself, and my wallet - but that didn’t happen. Sure, we’ve (me and my fucking rad, supportive husband!) had to adjust to a different income, a different schedule, a different way of living really; but it’s been a surprisingly calm experience. So calm in fact, that I’m skeptical…

“ I’m totally just disengaging, distracting, and distancing myself from the anxiety that I’ve buried deep down!”

And maybe that is the truth. But maybe it’s not.

Is it possible that my life, and the choices I make in it can just feel good and right?

Only time will tell… but for now I am learning to be okay with the process and to trust myself again, and on a grading system, I’d say I’m getting a B+ (pretty damn good for life lessons ya’ll)
